FROM THE ARCHIVES: Mapping Out Your Show Print E-mail

From time to time we like to feature older articles that may still be relevant for our newer readers who may not have seen them the first time around!  Today it's our instructional resource, "Mapping Out Your Show."   One of the very first articles posted here at CGE back in January 2007, it discusses my method for organizing winter guard show design using a simple "music map" which I then used to plan rehearsals, communicate with staff and make sure that all the elements of the show design are properly placed and paced.  It certainly helped me to organize the season as well as keep what can be an overwhelming task in perspective and broken into manageable chunks.  We think it's still as relevant today as it was when posted back in January of 2007.  We hope you find it helpful!
